Walter’s journey into the underwater world began in 2001 when he took his first steps as a scuba diver through the SSI Open Water Diver course in Puerto Madryn, Argentina. Instantly captivated by the ocean’s mysteries, Walter set his sights on becoming a professional diver, achieving this goal in 2003, and then advancing to become a diving instructor in 2007.
Walter has devoted his career to continuous learning and professional development. With over 10,000 dives and numerous certifications, his extensive experience and expertise make him a trusted instructor across all courses. He has earned multiple awards, including multiple consecutive PADI Gold & Elite honors, and has achieved a perfect 100% pass rate at the PADI Instructor Exams throughout his career. His passion for teaching and diving is complemented by his commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, recognizing that building a connection with students is key to effective learning.
Walter’s career has taken him worldwide, working at renowned dive locations such as the Maldives, Indonesia, and the Philippines, where he managed dive centers alongside his wife. Living in these tropical paradises was a dream come true, providing countless opportunities to explore and share knowledge. In 2018, Walter helped create a specialized Divemaster program in Malapascua, Philippines. As the program expanded, his responsibilities grew, leading to the launch of Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) under his leadership.
The COVID-19 pandemic prompted Walter to take a short break in Europe, during which he continued teaching in Greece. His journey then took him to India, where he led an Instructor Development Program, further expanding his expertise. Now based in Mexico, Walter teaches a diverse array of courses, ranging from recreational and technical diving to cave diving. Recently, he earned his IANTD Cave CCR certification using the Triton mCCR, further enhancing his expertise.
